MABL Returns June 1st to Muskegon Heights Branch MADL

The Muskegon Area Bike Library (MABL) is rolling back into another exciting season at the Muskegon Heights Branch MADL! This community bike lending program gives library card holders the opportunity to check out a bike for the season — making it easier than ever to enjoy fresh air, local trails, neighborhood rides, and everything summer in Muskegon has to offer.

Beginning June 1st, bikes will once again be available to place on hold for riders of all ages. Whether you’re commuting, exercising, exploring the lakeshore, or simply enjoying a ride around town, MABL helps put more bikes into the hands of community members all summer long.

Getting started is easy:

  • Bring your MADL library card or Hackley Library card to the Muskegon Heights Branch
  • Library staff will have you watch a brief bike safety video and complete a waiver
  • Some bikes may be available right away based on size and availability
  • If a bike is not immediately available, you’ll be notified when it’s ready for pickup

Bike-Check out and pick -up location is 2808 Sanford St., Muskegon Heights, MI 49444

Each checkout includes a bike, helmet, and lock, and bikes can be borrowed through October 31st.

While a $5 donation is appreciated to help support the program, no payment is required. The goal is simple: create access, encourage healthy activity, and help more people experience the joy of biking.

Mark your calendar for June 1st and get ready to ride into another great season with MABL!
