Our History
The Muskegon Area District Library (MADL) serves 20 local governmental units across Muskegon County. While all county residents are welcome to use MADL branches, its millage does not extend to certain areas. Residents of the City of Muskegon and the Muskegon Public School District are served by Hackley Public Library, while those in the City of Whitehall and the Whitehall Public School District are served by White Lake Community Library, and the City and Village of Fruitport are served by the Fruitport District Library.
